INFORMATION SHEET NO. 3
PRACTICING SENTENCE TYPES
If Sara goes on vacation, she will either fly to Greece or Australia. She has not yet decided. She needs to ask herself, "Can I afford to go on vacation?" and "How much will it cost?" If she goes to Greece, it will cost $1,550. If she goes to Australia, it will cost $2,000. Sara would like to go to Australia because her grandfather was born there. He tells her stories of how beautiful it is. She would like to go to Greece because that is where here parents got married in 1953.
She could not decide. Sara did some research on both places to help her make up her mind. She wrote down all the positive for going on vacation to each place. Then she talked with her parents. They all struggled with the decision. Where should Sara go? After 1 hour, there was still no decision made. Sara knew it had to be her decision.
She went for a walk. She thought it would help her decide what to do. As she walked, she thought and thought. Finally, we made a decision. She ran home to tell her parents.
Sara decided instead of taking a one week vacation, she would take a 2-week vacation and go to both places. Her parents thought that was a great idea and asked if they could go with her. She said- "Absolutely!"
