Artist speaks on different perspectives

Foulkes uses things outside the box for art

Llyn Foulkes uses the art he assembles to express his viewpoint on society in a style that is uniquely his own.  

He uses paint and familiar symbols in his work to show a darker perspective on the political and cultural landscape.  This is commonly referred to as mixed media because multiple types of techniques are used to create the art.  His career has spanned more than four decades, not only exhibiting his own creations but by teaching and performing music as well.

Comedian makes comedy from life experience

Richie Holliday brought his fish-out-of-water comedy routine to an intimate crowd of about ten people at SFCC.

The North Carolina native who has now settled in Minneapolis, Minnesota, incorporates many elements of his childhood into his act. He includes toys and his experiences from moving around the country as well as dating experiences, stories from college and the jobs he had before going on the comedy circuit.
