Access to the Adobe CS4 Creative Suite and 277 new computers will be at students’ fingertips as of Fall Quarter 2009.
The committee’s job was to distribute $590,000 generated through the collection of technology fees during the 2008-2009 academic year. Each student pays $40 per quarter to fund the purchase of new technology on campus.
This year’s requests totaled over $1.2 million.
According to the SFCC Tech Fee 2009-2010 draft outline, the majority of the money will be spent on college-wide purchases, such as replacing the server platform, which all campus computers use, buying new computers, updating the Adobe computer programs to the new CS4 and providing money for computer repairs.

In the afternoons and early evenings, many college students can be found taking advantage of the happy hour beer and wine specials, as well as the free Wi-Fi.

For Union Commanding Officer, Tim Shaw, 52, this really brings the history of the weekend alive.
“We have a bond here that is just like real warriors, because we do go to war together even if the bullets aren’t real,” Shaw said.
