Vanadlism coverage

Thank you for taking the time to hear the voice of the African American Association. We are concerned about the article and picture we witnessed in the Spokane Falls Communicator that appears to promote racism rather that bring certain issues to light. This is a highly sensitive subject that we truly feel should have been read and discussed by both faculty and the students before being posted in the Communicator. This picture is referred to in our culture as entity creative psychology or reverse psychology. In other words, it’s a conundrum and a message of hatred that we feel causes discord among the body of the students regardless to color.

Neither black nor white students here on this campus needed to witness this message of hatred printed in this article. While this article may have been written under the intent of educating and addressing issues and actions on this campus. This was not handled properly.

In the future the African American Association would like to be make aware of any racial issues, the African American Association is the voice for our student body we should be bought in to discuss how we can handle such subjects of perverse offense before the entire student body is made aware of it. We are here to help strengthen our community and as students of color would like the chance to do so with dignity and integrity.

Sincerely speaking,
Victor Bray
Vice President/ African American Association
