Ethnic groceries and delies can be a stop and go visit or an unexpected nice, sit down dinner experience.
Whether picking up seaweed for rolling self made sushi or enjoying fresh tortillas, many local diversity enriched grocery stores deliver more than stocking up on international calling cards, decorative items and the ever present Hidden Valley ranch.
Many stores boast the promise of “authentic food” of their cultures to the average shopper with traditional cooked food plates, even better is having two restaurants in one store.
Cassano’s Italian Grocery store has served the community since 1922. The location house’s The Mission Bistro, which serves homemade pizza’s that are made New York Style and topped with the freshest imported meats and cheeses. Pasta dishes include vegetarian pomodoro fettuccini and chicken asiago fettuccini as well as fresh cannolli's daily. The deli eating area serves Italian sandwiches, salads, and an olive bar. |
