Top schools recruit CCS athlete

At 6’2”, CCS middle blocker Nicole Graybeal is being recruited by top Division I volleyball programs from around the country.

Graybeal, who has been playing volleyball since third grade has become a cornerstone on this years team, which has compiled a 22-10 record as of Oct. 20.

The schools recruiting Graybeal include Washington State University, Eastern Washington University, Lewis and Clark State, Alaska, East Carolina and The University of Houston.

“I feel very honored that I can continue my volleyball career,” Graybeal said.

The CCS sophomore said she is not leaning to any school at this point.

“The most important qualities for me in selecting a school would have to be that I like the team that I am going to be playing for and that I get along with them, but most importantly that I like the Campus and the Programs because I haven’t determined a major yet,” Graybeal said.

Graybeal said that once she has visited all of the campuses and her CCS volleyball career is over, she will make the decision on where to continue her collegiate career.

“I absolutely love Volleyball and I have worked really hard to get to where I am,” Graybeal said. “I’m not ready to stop playing and I’m very glad I don’t have to.”

Graybeal’s teammate Cassey Williams said Graybeal is a valuable asset to the team.

“She is a superb leader with tremendous physical skills,” Williams said. “She has such a great attitude about everything.
“She is an amazing player, and it’s a ton of fun playing with her.”

Graybeal will continue to impress recruiters and teammates alike with her attitude on and off the court.
