travel writer in the Dominican Republic. He has won numerous
Associated Press awards for his reporting and received a National
Endowment for the Arts fellowship in 2004. |

Sam Kenyon, Editor-in-Chief of The Communicator, is attending
SFCC to get his A.A. and eventually transfer to a university.
He plans to major in communications and hopes to pursue a
career as a journalist. |
Jason Cooper
Jason Cooper, who has resided in Spokane for the last seven
years, is currently the Sports Editor for “The Communicator”.
He has been on staff for two years now and hopes to transfer
to the University of Washington to pursue his goal of becoming
a professional sportswriter. |
Mike McGregor
Mike McGregor was born and raised in Southern California.
He has resided in Spokane for the past three years. He plans
to move to Florida to continue his education in Journalism. |
Gerene Townesend
Gerene Townsend was born and raised in Spokane and has been
a member of the Communicator staff for almost two years, contributing
both as a staff writer and opinion editor. She plans on transferring
to Eastern Washington University and pursuing a career in
Documentary film making. |
