Club Current Events and News

  1. HEADS UP!!  In the Fall of 2001, the French Club will be sponsoring the showing of  LA HAINE (The Hatred) on November 14, 2001, followed on November 15, 2001 by a discussion panel on immigration in other nations.
  2. Spring 2001:  The French Club is now an official Club!  To participate, please contact the Président Nicolas Martin, the Premier Ministre Diana Martin, or the Club Advisor, Élodie Phan (le Conseil Constitutionnel!)
  3. Le 8 février: BACK TO the Senate!!
  4. Le 6 février: BACK TO the Activities Board;
  5. Le 1er février: Senate at 1h30; Senate Chambers;
  6. Le 30 janvier 2001: Activities Board at 1h30; Senate Chambers;
  7. Le 6 décembre 2000 : Meeting at 11h30 with Rich Tucker and Justin Core to officially form the French Club;
  8. French Club Constitution: Writing the Constitution for the French Club. The Constitution is a work in progress and shall soon be finished;
  9. French Club future activities :

    A. French Ciné-Club : We will show four French movies per quarter. Times and dates TBA.

    B. Feasts : Come celebrate la fête des rois, mardi gras, la fête du travail, Pâques (Easter), French cuisine and pastries with us! Activities to be organized with the German Klub (contact Inga Jablonsky).

    C. International Week : The French Club will participate in the International Week, organized by the International Club. This year's International Week Celebration is scheduled for March 3-9. Come see the fabulous Francophone clown and mime, Moshe Cohen, aka "Dances with Penguins"!

    D. Winter Fest.

  10. Who may participate? College and high school teachers and students, EVERYONE in the Spokane area interested in the French culture and language, whether able or not to speak French, is welcome! To find out more, please contact Elodie Phan, or call 3598.

  2. Fall 2000 : Meet in the SUB (building 17) every Wednesday at 11h30 to speak French and/or English about France!
