Course Description:

A lecture/laboratory course with extensive hands-on laboratory experience in a broad spectrum of telecommunications topics. Telecommunications processes, principles, protocols and media are discussed in depth. Students use telecommunications and network software, and study the pros and cons of various systems. This course concentrates on lower four layers of the OSI model. Grades will be based on two exams, homework/lab assignments and a course project. The following topics will be covered:
