Course Description:

This course is a comprehensive, hands-on course for people who must install computers and keep them running in a business environment. Primarily this is a practical course that teaches how computers work, how they can fail, and how they can be put right. Students will learn to find problems down to the board swapping level. Electronics problems will be deferred to electronic technicians for repair. Students will also learn how to install multiple workstation operating systems and how to network them together. Grades will be based on two exams, homework/lab assignments and a course project. The following topics will be covered:
