IS 238 Computer Forensics 3

In this class, students apply the skills they have learned in the previous classes to conduct investigations in a simulated environment. Students will help write affivits to obtain the search warrant, conduct the search, conduct the examination, and present in court. In court, students will be cross-examined by defense teams made up of fellow students.

  1. Conduct simulated legal investigations from beginning to end:
    • Write affidavit
    • Conduct the search
    • Image the evidence
    • Examine the evidence
    • Publish the report
    • Present in court
  2. Conduct simulated investigations for private organizations.
    • Prepare defense for simulated investigations.
    • Request evidence, report, and logs from prosecution team
    • Examine evidence, report, and logs
    • Cross-examine investigators in court
