Course Outcomes:
By the end of this course you should be able to create Visual Basic programs for a wide variety of applications using forms, objects, functions, procedures, arrays, and disk files. Grades will be based on two exams and homework assignments. You will accomplish the following objectives:
- Describe the basic problem solving steps and how they relate to computer programming
- Understand and do object-oriented programming
- Understand and use classes, objects, properties, methods, and events
- List and describe the three steps for writing a Visual Basic project
- Describe the various files that make up a Visual Basic project
- Describe the process of visual program design and development
- Be able to document a logical program design
- Be able to design, write, test, debug and complete various Visual Basic.NET programs

by Diane Zak
Prerequisites:
- Math 91 or instructor's permission
- IS-144 or prior experience with a programming or scripting language is highly recommended
